How do I use a temporary blocking list?

Temporary blocking lists are used to exclude specific e-mail addresses and/or domains from dispatches. The block does not apply generally, but only for the creative associated with the blocking list.

  1. Create a single-column txt or csv file and save it in ANSI/ASCII format. The file can contain both e-mail addresses and domains.
The following example excludes all addresses belonging to the domains web.de and gmx.de, among others:

    john.doe@yahoo.de
    testclient@testdomain.com
    web.de
    gmx.de

Please note that wildcard characters (*) are not allowed in blocking lists.

  2. You can import the file as a blocking list via extras > temporary blocking lists. Simply upload the file using drag & drop.

  3. You can select these blocking lists and exclude them from dispatch via the exclusion filter in the target group selection under campaigns → drafts.

Temporary blocking lists are available for the campaign types Default-, Network Master- and Auto Campaign.
