At Addresses > Lists a new automatic target group (short: auto target group) can be created via the button on the bottom right.
To do this, a name must be assigned to the auto target group. The target group will then appear under Addresses > Lists in the first tab and is labeled with the symbol .
An auto target group is always up-to-date and therefore constantly changes in size: as a result of subscriptions and unsubscriptions carried out within a newsletter, subscriptions generated via an address interface, an upload of addresses to the SFTP server etc. Blacklist entries and hardbounces are automatically deleted from auto target groups.
Addresses can also be added manually form another target group at Addresses > Lists.
Auto target groups are filled automatically, e.g. through and address generation set up in promio.connect, via an interface to an external CRM system, or through an automatic import of addresses which are made available via SFTP. In the Details of an auto target group you can analyze how the addresses got into the list via mouseover on the bars of the Audit timeline :
If several newsletters are defined in the current client, there will be an auto target group for each newsletter which the recipients can subscribe to and unsubscribe from, for example via a Newsletter-administration page.
Addresses can also be added manually form another target group at Addresses > Lists.
Do not hesitate to contact our support team via ticket, if you want to let an auto target group be calculated automatically, e.g. auto target group A minus auto target group B. Wir gladly consult you and set up the needed calculation.
