How can I measure the conversion?

A conversion is a specific action that occurs as a result of an advertising measure. This can be an order, a download, filling out a contact form, subscribing to a newsletter, etc.

The conversion rate is one of the most important metrics in online marketing. It helps you to better assess the success of an optimization strategy. Specifically, the conversion rate refers to the number of conversions generated in relation to the number of users.

promio.net offers 2 ways to measure conversion:

Measurement via a tracking pixel

It is not possible to generate tracking pixels via promio.connect. We can generate tracking pixels that you integrate on your landing page and that count a conversion in the campaign statistics in promio.connect. The pixels are provided for the respective client upon your request. The generation of such a pixel can be requested via support.

In order to generate a pixel, we need the following information from you:

1) a page identifier, e.g.
* Landing page 1 Checkout * Shop Transaction * Login page * or similar

2) the URL of the landing page, as it is used as a link in the creative.

The reason for this is that the landing page that is called up needs to know which campaign it was called up from. To do this, parameters must be automatically added to the links that lead to the landing page. This must be configured.

We recommend using a separate pixel for each landing page. Further details on installing the pixel are included in the additional information for a created pixel.

Integrate the supplied pixels on your target page(s) on which the conclusion or conversion is defined and ensure that the link parameters are passed on to the target page:

1) Parameters must be automatically added to the landing page linked within the creative. This should be done using a link replacement rule defined by promio.net. To do this, you must give us the URL.

2) The landing page must be configured so that it saves the parameter values received when the URL is called and integrates them into the pixel at the point where the conversion measurement is to take place.

You can (and should) test the conversion measurement in advance by sending yourself a test copy of the creative, calling up the link to the landing page there, and then, if necessary, placing an order or something similar to get to the page where the pixel was installed. Please then let us know so that we can check whether the conversion was counted. The conversion statistics cannot be viewed within a campaign draft in promio.connect. This is possible within a sent campaign.

Conversions can also be measured if the parameter r (assignment to a specific user) is not assigned or is assigned r=0. Then the conversion can “only” be assigned to a mailing (letter), but not to a user.

You can store a link pattern in promio.connect that takes the user to a page that stores a cookie before they call up the original link.

On request, promio.net will provide you with a script that forwards the parameters “m1”, “m2”, “m3”, “m4”, “lid”, “r”, “pm_ln”, “order_id”, “order_price”, “pm_cust_id”, if present in the direct link or stored in a cookie, to the pixel URL.
You can integrate this into your landing page. It counts as a conversion in the campaign statistics in promio.connect.
