How to set up a tracking campaign? [Service wiki]

====== How to set up a tracking campaign? ======

A tracking campaign is what you can set up if your campaign is created in promio.connect but sent from a second system. Usually this campaign type is used for the dispatch of promotional emails through a partner. By generating the creative  promio.connect, the promio tracking is integrated This means although the campaign is delivered by an external system, the campaign statistics are available in promio.connect.

As a first step, select the type //Tracking Campaign// when setting up a new campaign in promio.connect.

After designing the creative you, can carry out the following actions:

==== Download messages ====
Download a ZIP file with the creatives as TXT or HTML files for transfer to an external sender.

==== Reset values ====
Deletes all opens, clicks, and conversions that were made for testing before the actual dispatch of the campaign.

==== Activate campaign ====
Activates the campaign; the campaign cannot be re-edited after activation.

The button on the bottom right allows you to:

With this option, you generate a new message.

===== Cancellation of tracking campaigns =====

Tracking campaigns are not delivered via promio.connect but are used for statistics. Canceling the delivery is therefore not possible in promio.connect, but the campaign can be deactivated again after activation. \\
Select the campaign under //reporting > campaigns//.  You will find the //deactivate// button at the top right.

After deactivation, the campaign will be seen in the //drafts//, and you can edit it again.

If you make changes in the creative after a deactivation, you should make the amended creative available to the sender. This is necessary if you have added or removed links because the link number has changed! It is possible to change a link target without changing the creative on the part of the sender.

If you want to reactivate a campaign and the reporting already shows measured values, you should NOT reset the values (//measured data// checkbox: reset values) to keep the previous measurement values.
