This article describes what actions you can perform within the list of target groups and what editing options are available within the target group details.
At Addresses → Lists, you will find a listing of all available target groups. You can choose between 3 options:
You can find an article on deleting target groups here: “How can I delete target groups?”.
Target groups that are marked with this symbol are auto target groups.
You can show or hide columns using the button :
You can search for specific lists using the button:
If you check multiple boxes for different target groups, the following options will appear right above the list:
* Delete: You can delete multiple target groups at the same time.
* Duplicate matching: You can compare target groups against each other and save them as a new target group.
* Unify: You can merge multiple target groups and save them as a new target group. You can also limit these.
With the button on the lower right, you have these options:
Create and name a new automatic target group. Details in the article “How do I export a target group?”.
Create a new target group from an already distributed campaign. For example, you can save the recipients, opens, and clicks as new target groups. Details in article “How do I export a target group?”.
Upload a file. A new target group will be created from it when the master data has already been imported. This means that there is no new import of data, but only a comparison with existing data. The hits will be part of a new target group.
Upload new addresses directly from your PC or from an SFTP server. Details in the article Details in article “How to import addresses?”.
This article deals with static target groups. An article on the topic of auto-target groups can be found at “How to edit and analyze auto target groups?”
If you click on a target group to access the target group details, the following options are available to you:
Edit the target group’s name or write-protect it.
Download the target group. Details in the article “How do I export a target group?”.
Delete the target group; this is not possible for auto-target groups! Details in the article “How can I delete target groups?”.
Add this target group to a selected auto target group to combine them. Details in the article “How do I add a target group to an auto target group?”.
Clean up the target group from hard bounces, soft bounces, quarantined addresses, or unsubscribes.
Selecting a filter that you want to apply to the current target group. This creates a filtered copy of the current target group.
Divide the current target group into several parts. The distribution of the recipients happens randomly. Select the number of sub-target groups to be created. Decide whether the target group should be automatically divided into equal parts or whether you need an individual limit.
This function allows the export of a target group into another client. By doing this, no new addresses will be added to the second client, but a target group of found matches will be created, based on e-mail address. Details in the article “Is it possible to export a target group into a different client?”.
Here you can see how many records your list contains, whether it is read-only, or whether it is an auto-target group. You will also find the channel distribution, the log file, and a list of addresses.
This display only appears in clients that are configured for omnichannel and shows the distribution of addresses across the individual channels: email, SMS, app push, web-push, and print. Please note that although the values are percentages, the total can exceed 100% because, for example, a user can be reached via both the email channel and the WhatsApp channel.
The log file shows you how, in what quantity, and when addresses were added to the target group. When importing, you will be shown the respective details of the import, e.g., how many addresses were available for import, how many addresses were filtered out due to syntax checks, negative list entries, or domain blacklist entries, and how many addresses were actually recognized as new.
The target group search enables you to search for exact email addresses, customer numbers, first names, last names, or IDs, or optionally for included parts, e.g., @web.de.
The search results can be removed from the target group by checking the box.
