How does a split test work?

(not available in promio.mail.one)

Select “A/B test campaign” as campaign type when setting up a new campaign to see which version is most popular with your subscribers. You can test different designs or subject lines in a pre-delivery. The winning campaign will automatically go out at the time you choose.

Please set up the A/B test as pictured here:

  • Test duration: defines the interval between the A/B test and the full delivery in hours.
  • Winner parameters: the email for the main delivery can be determined based on the conversion, the clicks or the opens.
  • Target group: in contrast to default campaigns, the target group is selected at campaign level. It contains the addresses of the pre-delivery and the main delivery.
  • Test proportion: proportion of the target group to be used for the pre-delivery, as a percentage.

Please note that coupon codes cannot be used in an A-B test campaign.
