====== Definitions ====== ===== Auto Campaign ===== Auto campaigns let you manage mailings that should be sent automatically at defined events. There is a broad range of possible applications: * Event-related emails (birthday, name day) * Send out after specified events (after subscribing, after ordering) * Defined delivery times and intervals * Trigger: Events or behavior of a recipient (non-opener/clicker) Set up the workflow of your auto campaign simply and intuitively by drag & drop. Templates for birthday or welcome mailings are available. ===== Auto Target Group ===== An auto target group is a target group that updates itself automatically. Auto target groups are filled automatically, e.g., through an address generation function set up in promio.connect, via an interface to an external CRM system or through an automated import of addresses by SFTP. If there are several newsletters defined in the current client, each newsletter has an auto target group that recipients can subscribe to and unsubscribe from, e.g., via a newsletter management page. This means that an auto target group is always up to date and is constantly changing in size: through subscriptions and unsubscriptions from a newsletter, through subscriptions via an address interface, through addresses uploaded to the SFTP server, etc. Blacklist entries and hard bounces are automatically deleted from auto target groups. Addresses can also be added manually to an auto target group from another target group. ===== Blacklist ===== Readers can withdraw their consent to receive emails at any time. Depending on your newsletters’ configuration, you have three options in such cases: - You remove the address from the target group of a particular newsletter. Reader is then unsubscribed from this newsletter. - You add the address to the block list of a particular client. Reader is then unsubscribed from the mailings of this client. - You put the address on the blacklist. Then the address can no longer be contacted; it is unsubscribed from all mailings in this client. Entries on the blacklist can only be removed manually. Not every subscriber clicks on the unsubscribe link in the newsletter in order to remove themselves from the mailing list. Many subscribers choose other methods to unsubscribe. For example, they may write to an info@ address, or call on the phone. You can unsubscribe these readers by searching for them in the address research. You can then unsubscribe them from individual newsletters, or clients, or unsubscribe them globally from all delivery. See also: blacklist. ===== Campaign ===== A campaign is a mailing delivered via promio.connect. As default, it can be a simple campaign featuring an email message sent to a target group. There are several other campaign types, like A/B campaigns for A/B testing, or auto campaigns for marketing automation, etc. ===== Client ===== The promio.connect client is your company's access to promio.connect for creating and managing campaigns. Several users can have access to a single client. A company can also have several clients, e.g., if a publisher wants to create a separate account for each department. A client always has a five-digit client number. If your company has several clients and you have access to them with your user account, you can change the client via the drop-down menu //Switch client// at the top right without logging in again. ===== Creative ===== The term //creative// refers to the visual and textual design of a campaign. In addition to the design (layout, colors, images, and graphics), it also includes the subject line, main content, call-to-action (CTA), and personalization, i.e. adapting the content to the recipient. A good creative is crucial to attract the recipient's attention and persuade them to take the desired action, be it clicking on a link, filling out a form, or buying a product. ===== CSS Editor ===== The CSS editor allows you to use CSS specifications to define attributes that can be changed by editors using a specific form. In this way, you can determine which areas can be adjusted by the template’s user. A central style sheet in the header serves this purpose. With the help of the CSS inliner tool, the style sheet is written into an inline CSS during runtime, ensuring the email is displayed correctly in different email clients. The CSS editor can be integrated into every promio.connect template. Please contact us via the service center if you have questions about this feature. ===== Inbox Preview ===== The way emails are displayed can vary greatly on different devices. The increasing use of smartphones and tablets makes it particularly worthwhile to test campaigns’ appearance on several terminal devices. Of course, test mails sent to test mailing lists can be viewed on various actual terminal devices. However, it is easier by far to use inbox preview. This feature allows you to preview your email in more than 40 different clients at a single glance. Please contact us via the Service Center if you are interested in inbox preview. ===== Link Tagging ===== Links can be tagged in order to create grouped link statistics and click profiles (only with the Profiler module). It has to be done like this: append your tags to links (e.g., directly in the CMS). Please use the following syntax to tag links-only in standard, or A-B campaigns: http://www.promio.net/b2b/?pm_cat[]=technology&pm_cat[]=sports This example connects the tags “technology” and “sports” with the link http://www.promio.net/b2b/. ===== Media Browser ===== You can save images or PDFs for use in your campaigns in the media browser. This tool allows you to upload files and manage them in folders. If you delete or move images after the delivery, they will no longer be displayed in the campaign. The image file is referred to by a specific path in the campaign, e.g.: http://media.promio-connect.com/12345/bild.png If you change the image path by moving the file to http://media.promio-connect.com/12345/alt/bild.png, the image will not be available when a reader opens the newsletter, The path in the email cannot change after dispatch. ===== Network Campaign Manager (NCM) ===== The Network Campaign Manager allows marketers to manage multiple partner clients centrally, automatically distributing both target groups and creatives. The Network Campaign Manager provides the option of managing email campaigns centrally, via a master client. A master creative is automatically distributed and sent to any number of network partners, taking into account the local configurations of the partners in question. Target group management is also handled centrally and distributes target groups to the partner clients after an automatic duplicate check. ===== Newsletter ===== A newsletter is set up in promio.connect if you regularly send a similar creative to the same target group. Every newsletter has a fixed sender address and an associated auto target group that includes the newsletter recipients. If users subscribe and unsubscribe from the newsletter, the change is registered in this target group. When setting up the campaign, you can select the newsletter and separately evaluate all mailings created in this context. ===== Principal ===== The principal is primarily relevant for agencies dispatching newsletters for clients and interested in * Separate evaluations for each client * Setting up several different test mailing lists * Maintaining separate accounts for each client. Principals can be set up via //Management > Companies & Clients//. ===== Profiler ===== The add-on module promio-connect profiler allows you to set up specific interest profiles by using link tags. Tags can be appended to links manually or automatically. The more frequently a recipient follows a link with a particular tag, the greater their interest is assumed to be. Target groups can then be segmented and specifically targeted via target group management. ===== Score Values ===== promio-connect allows you to optimize a target group by score values. To do this, you create an activity score filter for click and open probability. This is useful in cases where, for example, you are sending third-party ads to your recipients and have promised your advertising partner a specific open rate. ===== SelfManager ===== The promio-connect SelfManager is a universal newsletter management page for your subscribers. Clicking on the //unsubscribe// link takes readers to an overview of all available newsletters; they can view their personal information and temporarily unsubscribe during a vacation. The SelfManager is an optional feature. Please contact us via the Service Center if you are interested. ===== Template ===== A template is a ready-made template that serves as the basis for creating and sending campaigns. It contains the layout, design, and basic elements such as headers, footers, and placeholders for images and text. Templates help to speed up the creation process and ensure a standardised appearance of the emails. ===== Target Group ===== In promio-connect, a target group is a list of recipients you can send email campaigns to. We distinguish between auto target groups and single-use target groups. New subscribers are regularly added to auto target groups, while unsubscribers are removed. Recipient lists that are manually imported and associated with an email are removed from target group management after dispatch. {{tag>auto_campaign auto_target_group blacklist campaign client creative CSS_editor inbox_review link_tagging media_browser network_campaign_manager newsletter principal profiler score_values selfmanager template target_group}}
