Create new from address

You can set up new senders via Extras > Settings > Create new from address.

A sender consists of 4 components:

• Local Part: Address within a domain (segment before the @-sign). Can be chosen freely – e.g. info, newsletter, mail.
• Domain: Sender domain. All domains set up in the current client can be chosen here.
• Realname: Real name / display name. Can be chosen freely. This name will appear in the recipient’s inbox – e.g. company name + news or bulletin.
• ReplyTo Address: Address set up to receive responses. Recipients who respond to the email send their replies to this address.

You can enter a reply-to address for every sender. It’s possible to assign different addresses to every sender, including senders who only differ in – for example – their real name.

You can edit these properties in the sender’s details in the tab Allgemein (general). Optionally, you can enter a dispatch speed limit in the tab Weitere (additional settings) under Limit Mails/h. This limits the maximum number of emails dispatched via this sender per hour. This feature is useful to control the traffic seen by a landing page or call center advertised in the email, for example.

You can work with several sender addresses. If required, you can create additional domains for this under Extras > Settings > Domains.

Delete a sender

It is not possible to delete a sender. This security measure is built into the system because the sender addresses might be in use in drafts, auto campaigns and copies of dispatched campaigns.

Special characteristics of promio.mail.one

In promio.mail.one, you can create senders either Extras > From addresses ), or while setting up the campaign. Managing multiple sender domains is not possible in promio.mail.one.
